Description
Work completed during my year-long internship with the Ohio Division of Wildlife. This particular piece was a magazine spread for the WildOhio Magazine's 2014 Children's Edition!
This spread and 6/10 were by far the most rushed of the lot, particularly the rendering level on this one compared to the rest of the pages...enjoyed the hell out of drawing that turkey, though!

Plenty of species do best with a mix of grassland and forest!
Featuring: Bumblebee (Bombus spp.), Carolina mantis (Stagmomantis carolina), rosy maple moth (Dryocampa rubicunda), wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo), Cooper’s hawk (Accipiter cooperii), Eastern bluebird (Sialia sialis), and striped skunk (Mephitis mephitis).

This is really cute, I love the turkey's face.
